Primary Job Duties

  • Oversee accounting functions for an assigned group of properties
  • Verify and correct errors in financial data such as misclassified income or expenses
  • Enter necessary journal entries such as accrual entries, vacancy loss, and transfers
  • Upload bank statements and reconcile accounts monthly
  • Prepare and send out monthly and quarterly financial reports to owners, investors, and regional managers
  • Be the go-to person to answer questions from owners, investors, auditors, and internal staff related to assigned property financials
  • Prepare or assist in budget process annually for assigned properties
  • Provide requested items to audit firms at year-end
  • Assist with onboarding new properties
  • Process move-out accounting procedure for assigned properties
  • Assist with annual property tax invoice entry and payment tracking
  • Submit and track replacement reserve requests for assigned properties
  • Responsible for reconciling the company credit card bill and processing all invoices
  • Follow up with site and regional managers on outstanding issues such as missing credit card receipts or stalled invoices
  • Supervise accounts payable and help during heavier processing times of the month
  • Support and back up accounting department in other areas as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years accounting experience
